RAKTDA’s plans are already in motion, with the upcoming arrival of a multibillion-dollar development by US-based luxury hotel operator Wynn Resorts in 2026. Situated on RAK’s Marjan Island, the project includes over 1,000 rooms and diverse leisure facilities, marking one of Ras Al Khaimah’s significant foreign direct investments and affirming international confidence in the emirate’s potential.
Ras Al Khaimah’s resilience during the pandemic, diverse tourism offerings, and natural beauty contribute to its appeal. Phillips emphasizes the ripe investment opportunity, stating, “It’s a key, opportune time to come into RAK.” The emirate, with its diversified customer base, caters to a wide range of visitors seeking a unique experience.
During the pandemic, RAKTDA focused on ‘shortcations,’ making Ras Al Khaimah a top destination for the drive market. As the emirate aims to increase international visitor numbers, a robust global marketing campaign is underway. Ras Al Khaimah’s accessibility, facilitated by the UAE’s geographical location and exceptional transport infrastructure, positions it as an attractive destination for global travelers. RAKTDA is collaborating with partners to enhance port infrastructure for cruise tourism.
