Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)

DEWA’s 2022 Sustainability Report reveals that it has committed $1.9 billion to smart grid projects, which run from 2014 to 2035. DEWA had deployed over 350 EV green charging stations as of 2022, with over 630 charging points across Dubai. DEWA reported a 14% clean energy capacity share in its energy mix. It has also seen a reduction of carbon emissions by 9.22 million tons. In July 2022, DEWA added 700 MW to its energy production capacity, reaching 14,117 MW, with renewables making up 1,627 MW.
