Sultan Al Jaber

Al Jaber is the first CEO to serve as president of the Conference of the Parties (COP). While leading Masdar from 2006 to 2014 as CEO, Al Jaber launched Masdar City: a low-carbon, low-waste urban development in Abu Dhabi. Al Jaber says Masdar has invested in solar and wind projects in 40 countries. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi awarded Al Jaber a lifetime achievement award in 2019 for his work on energy security, helping emerging Asian economies and rethinking traditional energy business models.
