The Environment Authority was established in 2020 to develop plans and programs to protect the environment and preserve its natural resources. It will launch the “Oman Conference for Environmental Sustainability; Decarbonization” conference in February 2024, which aims to promote the adoption of low-carbon technologies, strategies, and policies to achieve decarbonization. The authority has environmental campaigns, including clean sea, sea turtle returns, and Qurum culture.
