Qatar Airways Group aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 as a part of the world’s first global airline alliance to achieve a common sustainability goal. In April 2022, the airline launched its voluntary carbon offset program for corporate customers, allowing them to choose to lower their footprint. In October 2022, it signed an off-take agreement with Gevo, a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer, to purchase 25 million U.S. gallons of neat SAF over five years, with the initial deliveries to airports in California scheduled for 2028.
